UPB owned species

We own and breed several species of parrots between our members. Theses species vary not only in size, colour and appearance but also differ greatly in personality, character and suitability as pets. For the novice or first time bird owner we have Senegals, Meyers or Pionus. Intermediates or people who have owned smaller birds in the past, may prefer a Black Headed Caique (pronounced "cake") or a Blue Headed Pionus. Experienced bird owners have the choice of Timneh/African Grey Parrots, Amazons or the larger Macaws. We like to think we can find a species that will fill all the owners requirements, while at the same time ensuring that the bird is foremost in our thoughts. We would never sell, for instance, an African Grey to someone who had never owned a parrot before and worked full time, leaving the bird alone for long periods of time.

Owner Only section

Owners of UPB birds have access to their own section of this website. In this section we have an exclusive forum for owners to chat, ask advice or just share the experience of owning a UPB bird with other owners, the breeders and the hand-rearers. This forum is available 24/7 and is used by members daily. We also have exclusive, live nest-cams when adult birds are sitting eggs or chicks. You can watch as the eggs hatch and the chicks develop. We also have galleries where you can show off your birds and a section where you can post stories etc.
